We are located at the beach next to one of the entrances to the Ballena National Marine Park in Uvita / Bahia. This magical place is on the South Pacific portion of Costa Rica in an area know as Costa Ballena.

Ballena means whale in Spanish, and coincidentally this is the best place in Costa Rica to view them; our majestic beach actually forms the famous whales tail seen in the image above. This is also the only area on the Pacific coast where the jungle covered mountains come right up to the coast.

Uvita is located just south of Manual Antonio and Dominical, and on the way to the Osa Peninsula. This is a magical place of rainforest covered mountains, rushing rivers, majestic waterfalls, and lots of nature and exciting beaches to explore. Bambu Beach Hostel & Hotel is bound to be one of the most memorable parts of your trip to Costa Rica.
